2016: Brian and Pet Sounds lyricist Tony Asher meet up at 50th Anniversary show. For Pet Sounds, Brian and Tony wrote together for about three weeks. According to Tony, a typical writing session started either with Brian’s playing melody or chord patterns that he was working on, by discussing a recent record that Brian liked the feel of, or by discussing a subject that Brian had always wanted to write a song about.
