わくねこ羊毛フェルトさんのインスタグラム動画 - (わくねこ羊毛フェルトInstagram)「When taking pictures of animals, even the same animal can look completely different depending on the brightness of the room, the time of day, the camera used to take the picture, the age of the animal, its expression at the time, and the seasonal changes in the amount of fur. Osamu, for example, looks like a black cat in one photo and bright reddish-brown in another, and so on. My creation process begins by correcting the color tones of each photograph on a computer based on interviews, and then printing them out. This process eliminates any confusion about color in the creation. Then, I first make a pattern for my work. My ideal is not to create a cat that looks exactly like a single photo, but rather the expression of Osamu as a "wakuneco,” which is the output of my interpretation. ＊ Osamu is currently battling a brain tumor. I have three cats myself, and I get upset at the slightest sign of illness. I can understand how Osamu’s owner is feeling right now.
