When you stand in front of Kuraya's paintings, there is no need to ask the conceptual question, "What is painting?” One can instead simply swoon as one's brain becomes immersed in the mere presence of the paintings. Although the artist may be in the lineage of Mr. @misteryanen in terms of her motifs and style, it can be said that the artistic significance of Mr.’s existence has conversely been backed up thanks to her emergence. Kuraya paints ordinary scenes from her daily life in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan, where she lives, but when we trace her brush strokes, the matrix of her brain begins to flow into our brain.
