We tried potty training a few months ago and after a week of accidents, tantrums and tears decided to put it on hold feeling that maybe it was slightly too soon. We recently went on holiday and decided to try again whilst we were away, Sienna instantly picked it up and I have been so impressed seeing her use the potty and big girl loo, sometimes on her own! We are using a reward based system with sugar free sweets... probably not ideal but whatever works! We are as expected still having a few accidents here and there and number two’s seem to be a lot more challenging, but I can tell she is ready now and I’m sure in another month or so we will be on the other side of it. Currently going everywhere with a potty in my handbag and praying when we leave the house we don’t have a code brown situation to deal with!! Bedtimes have been problematic for a while with Sienna getting really upset each night, we stayed at my parents over Easter and Sienna loved the novelty of sleeping in a single bed for the first time! She was so excited by a big girl bed we decided to transition her just before her third Birthday. She loves it and has all her dolls in bed with her but it hasn’t been all smooth sailing, in the last week I’ve found her asleep on the floor and also in her armchair! There are one or two (sometimes three or four) trips back up the stairs most evenings, she is generally more happy to go to bed now because she likes the independence of having her own bed.
