Ever since her first lead role in Blue My Mind in 2018, for which she received a Best Actress Award at the Swiss Film Award, her career has been the one of a shooting star. Next to movie productions such as Je suis Karl and Der Passfälscher (The Forger), where she took on roles of rebellious and strong characters with political messages, she portrayed Sophie Scholl in the Südwestrundfunk production Ich bin Sophie Scholl, which narrated the last year of Sophie’s life as one of the most significant members of the resistance against the German national- socialist regime. With her role as Mia Akerlund in the Netlix series Biohackers, she entered a futuristic world in which the boundaries of the human body and mind are pushed to their limits through science experiments. In December 2022, cinephiles were charmed by Aron Lehmanns’ interpretation of Was man von hier aus sehen kann (What You Can See From Here), based on the namesake bestseller written by Mariana Leky, in which Luna Wedler slipped into the role of Luise – for the first time portraying someone completely different form her usual scheme.
