Sometimes inequality is as clear as lines on a map. 🌎

For today’s gallery, @planetlabs and @Daily Overview collaborated to highlight a few of the places on Earth where the effects of disparity are so potent that they’re imprinted into Earth’s landscape. Images from the story included here are:

1. Caracas, Venezuela - Densely packed barrios surround the greenery-filled apartments in the Palo Verde neighborhood.

2. Monaco - Luxury super-yachts in Port Hercule, Monaco.

3. Atherton, CA vs. Redwood City, CA - Greenery is a reflection of wealth and home prices.

4. La Paz, Bolivia - Gated suburbs collect in the low-elevation parts of the city, while poorer neighborhoods cling to the hills above.
