A lot of my work focuses on the intersections of womanhood, mental illness, the internet and capitalism. I’m particularly interested in critiquing the ways morality is weaponized and warped online, how social media affects the formation of identity and how social movements like feminism can be aestheticized and stripped of power. Everything I write about comes from a very personal place — I’m a young woman who grew up online, who has felt the greatest benefits of the attention economy and also been shaped by some of its worst drawbacks. I write, in part, to understand and process my experiences.
