All these pics and the vid I’m posting showcase the convention guests, but I want to take this #thisisthewaywednesday opportunity to shine a BIG light on all the volunteers, staff, organizers and the families who made the event happen and who are doing it again next weekend! Voices Against Cancer’s stated goal is to raise funds and awareness for the fight against cancer, with an emphasis towards childhood cancer and childhood cancer research. They raise funds through putting on comic conventions with celebrity and voice actor appearances. All money from door entry, autographs, photo ops, and musical performances, goes toward a chosen charity for the year. This year's recipient will be the St. Baldrick's Foundation and Ian’s Thumbs Up FUNd. The generosity, selflessness, HOPE and commitment to providing a better life for the children diagnosed with cancer and their families is like nothing else I’ve gotten to witness up close.
