I got this tattoo several years ago, perhaps coming up for a decade, at a time in my life when I was facing such incredible hardship and adversity and it was a symbol of peace and freedom for me to stay strong and know that justice will prevail - which it did! The flames that cover my ribs are a daily reminder of the inner strength that I found and now nurture, as well as the unconditional peace, love and freedom that is available to us all when we overcome the challenges within our path. Through hardship I became my strongest self physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually, now living the most beautiful life with blessings that I count twice each and every day. I believe in order to truly appreciate and understand where you are in your journey you have to acknowledge where you first come from and how you started. I feel that after all I have been through, I've lived multiple lifetimes within this one short time experience so far and not many would have found the light that I have if faced with the same challenges, nor build the same positive mindset.
