Looking for your pink fix this weekend? Why not flamin-GO to the Zoo! Liberty, who emerged from her shell July 4, is one of seven American flamingo chicks that hatched at the Smithsonian’s National Zoo this summer. Flock to the Bird House's outdoor exhibit to see our flamboyance! (P.S. Wondering why Liberty isn't pink? Flamingos are born with gray-white feathers and develop their iconic pink coloring from the food they eat! We wonder who else might do that... 🤔)
