Jacob Aue Sobol’s photographs are profoundly immersive and explore themes of vulnerability and intimacy, focusing on the universality of human emotion and the search for love within often harsh surroundings. Sobol was born in Copenhagen and has lived and worked in Canada, Tokyo, and Greenland.

Today, he lives and works as a photographer - and fisherman - on a small Danish island.
