Through a series of collaborative workshops, the women worked with Meiselas, alongside an illustrator and a writer, to explore their experiences of domestic abuse and resettlement. ⁠ ⁠ The result is a multilayered visual story comprising photographs, testimonies and collage pieces titled A Room of Their Own. The visual narrative emphasizes absence in order to protect the women's identities when needed.
