Video by Muhammed Muheisen @mmuheisen | I captured this video of Sukkar, an Asiatic black bear that who was one of a few survivors rescued from Magic World zoo near Aleppo, Syria, while working on a feature for the August 2023 issue of National Geographic magazine. Now 13 years old, Sukkar has been recovering at Al Ma’wa for Nature and Wildlife sanctuary in Jordan since 2017.
