In the art of homemaking, it’s often said that red favors the brave. Such is certainly true in the living room of Tom Healy and Fred Hochberg’s apartment, where a @luigicacciadominioni sofa, set off against a bold @delanyandlong stripe, is the star of the show. “I wanted an homage to irreverence,” says the owner Tom Healy, who tapped maverick design duo Charlap Hyman & Herrero (@ch_herrero) to overhaul his home. The firm approached the project as a Gesamtkunstwerk, translated as a “total work of art.” Only designers as hawkeyed and well informed as Charlap Hyman and Herrero would even try.
