In the center of the gallery is a black water basin with a surface so still, resembling a mirror at first glance, with large rocks placed nearby. For this exhibition, data on precipitation in East Asia (including China) is extracted from global images taken by meteorological satellites. A device is installed on the ceiling above the water basin and the precipitation data (compressed by year) is used to make water fall from the device emulating rain fall. As a result, the system reproduces the natural environment of the areas from where the data was collected.
