The sonnet is a celebration of the beauty of the natural world, down to the smallest flower and humblest insect 🌿 Jacques Le Moyne de Morgues (c. 1533–1588) was one of the most gifted botanical artists of his age, and created remarkable watercolours of plants, flowers, fruit and vegetables which captivate the eye with their extraordinary naturalism and the striking simplicity of their presentation.
