Video by @renan_ozturk | Using a drone to do aerial time lapse produced this first-of-its-kind footage of the active volcano of Mount Michael on Saunders Island in the South Sandwich archipelago.

Tensions were high when our team first reached the remote island with lofty science objectives. Little did we know this would be the only suitable day for drone flights like this before winds raged from 50 to 100 mph for the rest of the assignment.
