There is so much to do in such little time and the pressure to make it perfectly magical for everyone else can sometimes get to be too much. As the fall approached, it started to become a burden. I also hated the idea of dreading the holidays. Through lots of prayer I was able to reframe my mind. It’s still a lot. That hasn’t changed. But more so now than ever, I recognize the gift I’ve been given to spend another holiday season with my boys. This is Cayson’s last Halloween as a 3 year old. Cannon’s last Christmas as a 2 year old. And Lord willing, we get next year, but next year will be different. They’ll be a little older, a little wiser, and their childhood wonder for it all, a little more faded.
