An image by @nannaheitmann depicts the most elusive and sought-after form of light, the Aurora Borealis, drifting atop a tundra in Teriberka, Russia.

While hiking the French alps, @william.keo encountered a moment where traversing the terrain became uncertain: "The light was more than a source of comfort – it was a guide in the darkness.”

In 1969, Marilyn Silverstone happened upon an army training in the mountains of Ladakh, India, among streams of stark mountain light in a "moment of luminous impermanence and beauty."
