Acquired directly from the artist in June of 1985 and held in Emily Fisher Landau’s acclaimed collection for nearly 40 years, ‘Pink Tulip’ is no exception. A longstanding supporter of O’Keeffe’s practice both during her lifetime and beyond, Fisher Landau frequently visited O’Keeffe at her New Mexico home, and acquired a number of paintings from the artist—both for her personal collection and museum donation.
