Hammering is made by striking the surface of a bridge using a hammer and punch.
Hammering requires great precision and regularity in order to hit the part with the same force and not damage the angle or the various holes on the bridge. Used to increase the hardness of the part, nowadays it is used on the Classic Tourbillon Manufacture Meteorite bridges for its deep, matt finish that contrasts with the other decorations on the movement. It takes between 2 and 3 hours to make a single bridge.
