Happy Closing to me!!!! I spent the last two months working on a new play, #WelcomeToMatteson, written by my dear friend @indawritesthings directed by @dmw_directs and had the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented group of wonderful actors and humans @thedelondotcom @kurlymac & @charlie3stacks at this gem of a local theater specializing in producing new plays, @njrep. While there, I ate all the best food the Jersey shore had to offer, tried to work out as much as I could to balance it out, took up swimming, went to New York and saw so many great plays, hung out with friends, had amazing surprise New York nights, rehearsed, studied, napped, worked hard - then finally OPENED THE SHOW! Thank you so much to @agentdanbaron, everyone who sent flowers and esos those who made the trek to see the play!
@najaleigh you were there FIRST for opening night- thank you for ALWAYS supporting me! @dhouslin thanks for coming and for being my Theater Buddy in NY too! @kathrinebarnes, you are a RIDE or die for real for taking that 5hour ride up! @verbalberappin thank you for being a fan and a friend always @tamberlaperry thanks for coming, hanging with me in the city (our @teaaroundtownnyc deserves its own reel) and for bringing mommy and sis, @charlesdbrowning thanks for being my Harlem host and for coming to see your old college pal do a play, thank you @candicemcfield my loooooooooongtime friend for supporting me since high school days. Thank you @therealkenparrish for claiming the online prize and coming down and thank you to my home girl @leshaytboyce for coming closing weekend and helping me to shut it down right! Thank you PARENTS who don’t really mess with social media but I love you soooo much- thanks for flying in from KCK- so glad we got to hang out in NYC together ❤️ Thank you @evabarrett3726 @pkenbar for being my closing night guests and for the way you blessed me after the show! I love you all- it means so much that you came to support this artistic endeavor and see me in my first love, my first artistic home - I love live theater and I look forward to seeing you from the stage again soon!!!
