Today marks 60 years since the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy in 1963, who, at 46 years old, was shot while riding in a presidential motorcade through downtown Dallas, Texas. The event would become one of the defining moments of the 20th century, leaving a cultural and political imprint that permanently altered the American landscape.⁠

Kennedy's political career, including his campaign and election, was documented by Magnum photographers. Cornell Capa's coverage of his presidential run for @life is a lasting document and an intimate portrait of Kennedy's work and character.
