McGurn has said that the title is a phrase her mother would use when commanding her five children on family outings. Here it references the priority shift that occurs with becoming a parent, having new responsibilities but also feeling fortified through building a family. In her work, McGurn uses swift brushstrokes and repeated marks to create loose associations about place and history.
