Today is my Coachniversary! Five years at the helm of @artswimusa, and the poolside chronicles continue to unfold! 🌊 Gratitude fills every ripple as I look back on this incredible chapter, where @usaartisticswimming dared to believe in a coach with dreams as big as what this country has already built in this sport. My mission coming here was to give back to what you gave me when I first saw you in 1996 from my TV in Barcelona. You changed my life for better and that’s why I’m here for.

To all the incredible swimmers and coaches who’ve become my partners in aquatic crime, your dedication and willingness to follow my out-of-the-box coaching adventures have made every practice an unforgettable performance. Together, we’ve created a mosaic of routines, where every spin, twirl, and unexpected cannonball has added a splash of brilliance to our synchronized symphony.

From the podium-topping highs that felt like we were walking on water to the lows that had us sink into the darkest depths, it’s been a narrative woven with threads of resilience, camaraderie, hardship, pride, tears, laughter, creativity and warm unity.

Five years navigating the watery realms as the captain of the senior national team of USA Artistic Swimming, and what a thrilling voyage it’s been! Thank you for entrusting me with the reins and letting me lead this synchronized ship into uncharted waters.

As we dive into the future, let’s continue making waves, breaking boundaries, and maybe adding a few silly Friday challenges just for the fun of it.
