photo by @CarstenPeter: REST IN PEACE, CARL YOUNG! Carl is one the three storm chasers killed in the El #Reno #tornado on May 31st, 2013 (with Tim and son Paul #Samaras). We were chasing as a team for 12 years. Carls service is today. All my thoughts are with you, my great friend! After a slow start in the season you had finally some good luck with tornado intercepts and you thought of me. You tried to convince me to come out. Thank you for this. My work did not permit this time. And you tried even to attract me with spicy Doritos (one of the base chaser food). Thank you Carl for this. After the fact it is the only time I preferred not to share your chase and I am deeply saddened why you, Tim and Paul had to go.
