The winner of the June edition of the Fan Photo Contest is Christoph Schaarschmidt @hasmonaut – Here is what our judge this month, Amy Toensing, had to say: “There are three aspects in this photo that work well - the first and most obvious is the star streaked sky which adds energy with color, light and motion. The next is the tree on the left lower third of the frame which allows a place for viewer’s eye to go - anchoring the image and signifying a clear voice from the photographer which is important in any good image. lastly, is the bit of light that sweeps across the grass in the foreground, which is less expected and subtle, but adds a bit of color that lifts the image to higher level.
