Our winner for the August edition of the fan photo contest is @instaburrell (Alex Burrell) for this amazing shot of a skateboarders in Portland, Oregon. Here is what our judge @irablockphoto had to say about the image. "The winning photo has all the elements that make a powerful image: light, composition and moment. The light hitting the skateboarder highlights the peak moment of action and his arm position mirrors the lit raised arm of the spectator watching the action. Both the skateboarder and his enthusiastic friend are nicely positioned in front of simple dark backgrounds so they really stand out. The curved lines of the skateboard ramp compliment the strong curved lattice on the left to add symmetry to the composition. I congratulate the photographer for taking this action situation and bringing it to an even higher visual level. "
