I have some amazing friends but maybe none I'm more happy for and proud of than Mr. @thomasvictorcarroll. His new book, #TC, written with his brother, Nick, is a tell-all of Tom's years spent battling drug addiction thru success as a 2-time world champion, with it coming the option to indulge in any and all forms of debauchery and absence of self-control. Tom has been a brother to me for nearly 25 years and been one of the biggest mentors and influences I've known. We met in 1982 when I was 10. I joined the Quiksilver team with him in 1990 and started traveling the world beside Tom. He came by this morning for a surf and this photo shoot. Thanks for the book, Tom, and for telling the world your truth. When you do good or when you do bad, you give others permission to follow suit.
