Snow in the Middle East

This image from the Aqua satellite's MODIS instrument taken at 11:10 UTC on December 16, 2013 shows areas of snow in #Syria, #Jordan, #Israel and the Palestinian Territory. It was the first time in 100 years that #Egypt had seen snow.
