Sunset lights a rare rain squall over lonely #mountains in the #GobiDesert of #Mongolia. I had only moments to take the picture because I was leading a group for National Geographic Expeditions and our local guide was rushing to to catch a distant airport. Then, when we got there, the flight was delayed and we had to kill eight hours in one of the world's most primitive terminals, where both the crude "restaurant" and bar were closed. I wish that I could have shot a few more images here, but there were no cell phone towers to advise us of the delay. #deserts #clouds
