When Diébédo Francis Kéré earned a degree in architecture, he knew he wanted to use it to help his community. He went home to Gando, a small village in Burkina Faso, and taught his neighbors to build a schoolhouse out of the mud and clay in their region. They created a beautiful, elegant space that the community loves to spend time in. To see the schoolhouse, as well as a library and other buildings they created, go to on.ted.com/Gando
