Photo by @paleyphoto: Honey is the Hadza's favourite food, and it has played a huge role in human evolution. It is energy dense and in the wild it is packed with bee larvae, which is full of fat and protein. Chewed, it tastes salty sweet. If you get over the larvae thing, it's actually delicious. I am here in #Tanzania, seriously impressed by the small #Hadza community. They are full time #hunter-gatherer–they do not practice agriculture, herd animals or even store food.
