After visiting one of the many tidewater glaciers in southeast Alaska during his travels, John Muir wrote: “…and our burning hearts were ready for any fate, feeling that, whatever the future might have in store, the treasures we had gained this glorious morning would enrich our lives forever.” His words ring as true today as they did 130 years ago.
