Been slowly working on this painting for a while--- adding details and then covering some up and then adding more...... and as a result, there was so much built up paint on the face that it looked like it was wearing a prosthetic. Solution--- gesso applied with a palette knife to flatten it out. A gesso facial. Inspired to share this by @moisesartnyc recent similar posting. #gessofacial
