Casablanca, Morocco. Each evening, both young and old stroll the grounds and the sea wall of the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca-taking in the intricacies of the architecture while watching the sun set, and waves pound the supporting rocks. This particular evening a group of Moroccan youth were hanging out on the wall where I was shooting. They told me they come out each evening to enjoy the scene as the lights of the mosque come on when the sun sinks into the horizon. I had to smile as I made pictures with my bulky set up of tripod and camera, and they made pictures with their cell phones. The Hassan II mosque is the largest mosque in Morocco, and the seventh largest in the world. Beautifully designed by a French architect, the mosque towers above the Atlantic coast, and is the most prominent structure in the city of Casablanca.
