Wiz’s stage presence was vibrant. Shooting with a 35mm lens, I aimed to capture some of the movement and depth of the performance to make you feel as if you were right there with him. I could feel the energy of the audience behind me as fans waved their arms in approval, connected, some using their cell phones as the new form of lighters. I waited for the right moment as Wiz looked right at me delivering an emphatic verse and raising a light of his own, and I captured this shot.”
