This Corona Standard typewriter was produced by L.C. Smith & Corona Typewriters Inc. during the 1930s. Instead of the normal QWERTY keyboard, this special keyboard has an image of an animal along with a letter (including a rabbit). Designed to help kids learn to type, this special keyboard was available on three of the Corona's models for a $2.25 charge. The kid would wear rings on their fingers with corresponding animals.
This typewriter is rare, as the Great Depression made an extra fee for a child’s keyboard difficult for many families to afford.
