Recently I found the picture of my 1975 family trip to Kyoto. ( previous post ) We posed in front of #HonkeOwariya the 550 years old family run Soba restaurant. 40 Years later, I'm here again, now with Ariko, the 16th proprietress of this incredible historical restaurant. She is also the photographer and lived in NYC for many years. We found out that we used to live only a few blocks away in Williamsburg Brooklyn. Though we met only a few month ago in Kyoto. We have so much in common + too many mutual friends. My 1975 family photo was taken right here right before she was born. Time has passed but some has never changed. Cheers for the circumference. Life is interesting.
先日ぐうぜん見つけた1975年の家族旅行の写真は老舗御用御蕎麦司 #本家尾張屋 さんの前でのスナップでした。(ちょい前のポスト）そしてこの写真は先日、まったく同じ場所で、この550年続く歴史深いお蕎麦屋さん16代目、亜里ちゃんと共に。写真家としてNYに住んでいた稲岡亜里子ちゃん、わたしたちは今年に入って京都で出会ったのだけれど実はブルックリンのご近所さんだったこと、共通のお友だちがNYにも東京にも山ほどいることがどんどんわかってきます。あの1975年の写真は亜里ちゃんがこのお家に生を受ける直前のお正月に撮ったもの。その40年後、わたしは京都で暮らし、そしてまたここのお蕎麦をいただく。時は過ぎて、変わるもの変わらぬもの、巡り巡るご縁って素晴らしい。
