I did a lot of snorkeling in the Solomon Islands, and really enjoyed the underwater life there. Armed with my new underwater housing for my camera, I snorkeled and photographed for hours and absolutely enjoyed. I spent a good amount of time with this poppa and baby clownfish, for several reasons. First, I love the way clownfish look. I think they are really pretty fish, and make easy and fun subjects for photographs. I also love their name....I can't help but smile when I hear it. But with these clownfish in particular, I loved how the poppa (or momma, I have no idea) would come out and protect the little baby any time I got near. Here I was was, this huge beast that is probably equivalent to 1000 times the size of these little things, and yet he made a strong stand to shelter his little one from any potential harm. It was quite endearing. I left after a few images, but I will forever remember the proud poppa and baby clownfish I saw while snorkeling in the Solomon Islands. Photo by @magnumji
