My father has and will always be my hero, he caught the spiders so that I could sleep soundly at night, lifted me onto his shoulders so that I could see the world, held my hand so I wouldn't be afraid and counted down from ten first whenever I misbehaved. My father is the man I most loved and feared in life which gave me the greatest respect for him. It's hard to be a parent and I've come to realise that men and women love children in different ways and by doing different things, whilst my mother would wipe our bloodied knees my father would throw me in the air and chase me around the garden with a water pistol. But however you choose to measure love makes no difference because the fact that it's there is what makes it so precious. Because of my father I now do the same for my two children and it's made me the complete person that I am today.
