You know what’s “Most Seriously Amazing?” For only the second time, a litter of clouded leopard cubs was born as the result of an artificial insemination. Smithsonian Conservation Biology Institute’s Dr. Pierre Comizzoli, performed the artificial insemination in Thailand. The artificial insemination was the first successful procedure performed on a clouded leopard outside of the U.S. The first and only other successful artificial insemination on a clouded leopard was performed by the late SCBI scientist Dr. JoGayle Howard in 1992.
