This past Saturday, October 3, marked the 25th anniversary of German Reunification, now celebrated as German Unity Day. Five years after Reunification, a woman gathers flowers with children where the border used to lie between East and West Berlin. At that time it was still a no-man’s-land, but it has since been built up into a busy area of Berlin. Check back here tomorrow to see a recent picture of this same area.
