"Of course, "Nurses Do It Better!" Was there ever any doubt? Robert Plant, who at the time was quite the style icon (and maybe still is?), combined the blue tee, silver and turquoise bracelets and those tight, bright blue pants to make a very photogenic statement. His long, wind-blown hair added to the power of this photo I took in 1977 at another of Bill Graham’s famous "Day on the Green" concerts in the Oakland Coliseum. It was to be Led Zeppelin’s final U.S. performance of their eleventh – and also final – concert tour of North America. It was also on this day that a ruckus ensued between Zep’s band manager Peter Grant and promoter Bill Graham. Assault charges were filed by Graham against Grant and three others when the band arrived back at their hotel. The four received bail, and pleaded no contest, receiving suspended sentences and fines.
