Three sisters groom their hair on their front porch in the one-road town of Cap Rouge, Haiti in the southern mountains overlooking the coastal town of Jacmel. The photo by @fotokonbit student Odaline Sarah Vincent, 15, is an outtake shot for the story on Haiti entitled Haiti On Its Own Terms published in the December 2015 issue of National Geographic Magazine. 55% of Haiti's population is under the age of 25. Since the 2010 earthquake young Haitians have been more widely exposed to the Internet and almost everyone carries a cell phone including rural farmers who barely eke out a living from there tired lands. Bravo to the students of @fotokonbit for their incredible photos that accompany a powerful story by writer Alexandra Fuller.
