This skyscraper is a landmark in Beijing, China. At 473,000 square meters, the CCTV Headquarters is one of the largest buildings in the world. It changes direction at each angle, defying the typical building aesthetic. Architect Ole Scheeren believes in making buildings that tell stories, and with this design he shows the unique relationship between people and public spaces. "We used the loop of the building as a circulatory system," he says, "to thread everything together and to allow visitors and staff to experience all these different functions in great unity."
