The things we do for love.... In between work in the East and in Canada @jenniloweanker and I spent Valentines Day in NYC. On the day of hearts we enjoyed the city.
Today we visited the qualifying rounds of the Westminster Kennel Club 140th dog show.
Jenni visits climbing comps (horsing around on plywood with Medieval farming implements is just as silly) so it was my pleasure to share a day of dogs with her.
Selective breeding has morphed our oldest friend into everything from Pomeranians (tiny) to Irish Wolf Hounds (giant) to Border Collies (working) to Toy Poodles (show). Dogs are great - they provide happiness and exercise for their families. In work they help the blind and dial in security. Their companionship for those in need, be it isolation or prison, make for a calmer society.
It was interesting to see the happy people fluffing up their pets. They get more hair cuts than I do and there was a wide array hair styling products & tools to get Fido #bestinshow #wkcdogshow #dogsofinstagram
