Escola Vidigal is a project I started with @ghivelder four years ago. It comprises an academic residence project, a pedagogical laboratory and a free art, design and technology school for four to eight-year-old children located in the Favela of Vidigal in Rio. It is also a forum for transformative ideas about education in the 21st Century. Anyone interested in visual and tech literacy, educational games, or learning to listen to children about what and how they want to learn is welcome to be a part of it. Here’s a picture of one of our brand new buildings decorated with portraits of some of our first collaborators by my friend @jr. Programs will start next semester.
