Below soaring 1,500 foot cliffs, on one side lies Mexico and the other, the United States. This is the Río Grande River that flows through Santa Elena Canyon in Big Bend National Park and separates the two countries. You can hike for a few miles inside the canyon downstream for views like this. Or better yet, take a kayak for a two to three day trip through the canyon for even more dramatic views
