Julian's third (and final!) surgery is scheduled for June 20th! Phew...what an emotional year! He has been doing exceptionally well with all of the transitioning. Of course there have been some big bumps along the way, but he currently uses NO hearing aids, has a gorgeous "big ear", and he's happy. It doesn't much more miraculous than that, right?
We want to give a very sincere thank you for all of the love and support we have received throughout this process. We now understand that the only way to keep a family's head up is to surround them with community that cares. We have been beyond touched by generous donations and kind words, and we are aware that we wouldn't have been able to take even a few steps without the incredible help we received. The point is...you watched, smiled, and encouraged...so we were brave.
Being a month away from surgery, we are organizing our final funds, and although we have raised a significant amount, we are still falling short. We are aware that most people have contributed what they could, and we are so grateful for that, but we are wondering, if feeling inclined, if you would be willing to help us out by sharing (reposting, emailing, etc) our cause. I believe this final push could be the way to reach those areas that we just don't have access to.
Thank you again for helping a family's dream come true. We have grown so much this year, and look forward to completing this time in our lives, and walking away with new eyes...and ears :) Lisa Veit "Mother of the Ear"
